Android KitKat, something which we find is taking over the headlines every single day. Well, it is the headline here too.
And Samsung wants users of their mid-range devices to join the KitKat party. The Korean Mobile phone giant, is apparently considering updating several mid range devices, and some low end ones to Android’s latest offering. This decision is based on the fact that Google has optimised KitKat to function well on devices with low memory, as low as 512MB to be precise.
This list is just a rumour, and considering the fact that Samsung takes a hell of a long time to release updates, or skip it entirely, like in the case of the Samsung Galaxy SII, we may never see a KitKat update for older devices.
The list of devices which are rumoured to be getting Android 4.4 include:
- Galaxy S4 mini
- Galaxy S3 mini
- Galaxy S Advance
- Galaxy Ace 3
- Galaxy Core
- Galaxy Fame
- Galaxy Ace 2
- Galaxy Fresh
