Remember the leaks (1 and 2) about a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage, which we reported. Well, we were correct about them. The South Korean company’s Head of Mobile, Koh Dong-Jin, has officially confirmed the existence of the super beast, in an interview with The Korean Herald.
The rumours about the Note 7 with 6GB of RAM, began in China, and it appears that it will be the only country which will get the variant.
When questioned whether such a device is set to be launched, Dong-Jin replied positively. This is what he told the newspaper
“It is true that we are reviewing the rollout of a new tablet with 128 gigabyte built-in memory in China because Chinese companies are aggressively doing marketing with high-capacity memory.”
Samsung looks like it is doing its homework well, as we have seen the ZTE Axon 7 and LeEco Le Max 2 have 6GB of RAM, but only the Axon 7 has 128GB of internal storage. A Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage could compete with the other two devices very well.
The fact that this variant is exclusive to China has not amused fans in South Korea who are stuck with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, just like the rest of the World.
