Skype for Android has been updated and the latest version brings a rather cool feature, it now allows you to send Video Messages to your contacts.
This feature rolled out to a few countries last month, but now it looks like Skype are pushing it worldwide. But that isn’t the only cool feature in this update.
Tablet users, we have some good news for you, Portrait mode! Now we know that skype added Portrait calling for Tablets in January this year, but the app stll functioned in Landscape while not on a call. But now, after months of complaining we get some love from Skype. They have named it as “Classic View” and you can switch to it by pressing the Menu button and selecting Classic view. You will need to close and start the app again to get it working.
Video Messaging:
You can now record a video message and send it to your contacts on Skype. But here is the catch, you can send up to 20 free video messages, while Premium users get to send as many as they like.
Here is a change-log for the latest version:
Video Messaging – preview feature
Try new Video Messaging. Record a video and send to friends and family on Skype, even when they’re unavailable. Everyone can send up to 20 free video messages; Skype Premium users can send as many as they like.
