File Managers play an important part in managing your Android devices.
Whether it is for simply copying or moving files, or organizing folders or editing files in the Root directory, you cannot do without a file manager.
Sliding Explorer is a new file browser for Android 4.0+ devices. It has a Holo UI and offers basic functions as well as access to Root folders.
Features:
- Google Nav Drawer Navigation
- Root Access
- File/Folder Creation, Renaming, Copy, Cut, Paste
- Image Previews
- Show Hidden Files
- Directory Shortcuts
- Specialized File Icon Previews
- File Sharing
- unzip/extract Files
- zip files
All these features in an app that is less than 1 MB in size. That is pretty cool, isn’t it?
Currently the app does not support external memory cards by default. But you can access it if you have a rooted device.
Open the settings menu and enable the root option. Now press the button on the top left button and select “Root Directory”. You will see your external storage directory. If you wish to access it quickly, you can long press the folder location and add a bookmark, making it as a favorite folder. Doing so will list the EXT SD Card folder in the menu.
The app is currently in beta and is completely free.
