Popular Office Suite developer, Softmaker, has announced that their Android version of the app suite has gone freeware.
The apps which have gone free are TextMaker Mobile, PlanMaker Mobile and Presentations.
It would be impossible to describe the features of the apps here, so I’m going to list out a few important ones. All three apps can create, edit and save files in formats corresponding to the app used. They also support TrueType and OpenType fonts. You can email documents directly within the apps, and it also lets you access your documents from various cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, and OneDrive. You can export any document to a PDF file. The apps offer various formatting options (such as bold, italic, underlined, font and size, text, etc.,) and also have Multi-level undo and redo, for ease of editing.
TextMaker Mobile is a document editor which opens, edits and saves files of the following formats.
TextMaker, Microsoft Word (DOC, DOT, DOCX, DOTX, DOCM, DOTM), RTF, HTML, OpenDocument / OpenOffice / LibreOffice, Pocket Word, plain text in many encodings.

PlanMaker is a Spreadsheet app which supports Microsoft Excel worksheets and the following file formats:
PlanMaker, Microsoft Excel (XLS, XLT, XLSX, XLTX, XLSM, XLTM), RTF, HTML, SYLK, dBASE, DIF, CSV, plain text in many encodings.

Presentations is a PowerPoint app, which supports the following file formats:
SoftMaker Presentations, Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT, POT, PPS, PPTX, POTX, PPSX, PPTM, POTM, PPSM), RTF, HTML, many image file formats.

It also has full screen slideshows.
We tested each of the apps, and they work flawlessly. The UI is a bit dated, and may put off users who prefer a modern interface, but these apps weren’t designed with their looks in mind, but rather for the plethora of functions they offer.
Though the apps’ Google Play listings have the word “trial” in the URL, the apps themselves are full versions with all features available. The apps will work on devices running on Android 2.2 and above, on Phones and Tablets.
Note: There are separate Premium HD versions of the apps designed for Tablets, with additional features.
Thanks for the tip Grr.
