Sony launches Xperia E1: A mid range phone with a 100dB speaker

Sony have launched a new mid range device, the Xperia E1 with a 100dB speaker, which aims to be the loudest guy around.

The Sony Xperia E1 is powered by a dual Core processor, and a 4 inch display, but the standout feature apart from the 100dB speaker, is the shake-to-shuffle controls and a dedicated Walkman button for your music needs.

Sony Xperia E1Long pressing the Walkman button will activate it, letting you listen to your music without the hassle of opening an app.

Xperia E1 Specifications

  • Display: 4” WVGA (800 x 480) display
  • Processor: Qualcomm MSM8210 1.2 GHz Dual Core
  • GPU: Adreno 302
  • Camera: 3 megapixels
  • RAM: 512 MB RAM
  • Memory: 4GB in-built memory with support for a microSD card, up to 32 GB
  • Battery: 1700 mAh
  • WalkmanTM key, shake to shuffle and hardware controls for easy music control

The Xperia E1 will also be available in a Dual-SIM version.

Pricing:

Sony are yet to announce the pricing for these devices, but they have said that it will cost less than 175 Euros.
