Sony has just announced a new compact Xperia device i.e Xperia J1 Compact in Japan, similar to Xperia Z3 Compact. Xperia J1 Compact sports a metal frame and comes with 4.3 inch Display having resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels and a pixel density of 341 ppi. It is powered by an unnamed 2.2 GHz Quad-Core processor as the official website listing fails to mention whether it’s a Qualcomm CPU or something else. The reports though mention it as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC.
Apart from these, Xperia J1 Compact comes with 2 GB of RAM and is powered by a 2,300 mAh battery. In terms of camera, it sports a 20.7 MP front camera and a 2 MP front camera. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and not the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Xperia J1 Compact is priced at~$490 in Japan, but we have no information on whether it will be launched in markets outside of Japan.
