Sony has unveiled the 6.1mm thick, waterproof Xperia M4 Aqua at Mobile World Congress. By Waterproof, Sony claims that Xperia M4 Aqua can withstand up to 1.5 m depth of water for up to 30 minutes even with open microUSB port.
The Xperia M4 Aqua comes with a 5-inch 1280×720 display which runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor supported by 2 GB of RAM. In terms of camera, it sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture & ISO 3200 sensitivity and a wide-angle 5-megapixel front-facing camera along with a dedicated hardware camera button.
It comes with 16GB of internal storage. It is powered by a decent 2400 mAh battery which lasts for up to two days on a single charge. It also comes with Ultra Stamina Mode, which turns off all but the core functions of the phone and can stretch battery life up to a week as per Sony.
Price and Availability
The Xperia M4 Aqua will be available in 80 countries on more than 100 carriers starting spring 2015. The device will be priced at €299 (~$335 USD).
