Sony has launched a new premium smartphone, called the Xperia M5 Dual launched in India.
We have already seen this phone, thanks to a leak in Russia.
The Xperia M5 sports a 5-inch Full HD IPS Display, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The phone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz, with 3GB of RAM and an IMG Rogue G6200 GPU.
The M5 comes with 16 GB of internal storage and supports up to 200 GB of expandable memory via a microSD card slot. The phone adorns a 21.5 megapixel rear camera with an Exmor RS sensor, with an f/2.2 aperture, 0.25-second Hybrid autofocus and lossless 5x Clear Image Zoom. The front camera is a 13 megapixel camera, also with an Exmor RS sensor with autofocus.
The Xperia M5 Dual is backed by a 2,600 mAh battery, which will reportedly deliver up to 2 days of battery life. The phone is IP65 and IP68 certified for waterproof and dust-proof. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, AGPS/GPS/GLONASS, Native USB tethering, micro USB. The phone measures at 145 x 72 x 7.6 mm, and weighs in at 142.5 g.
The Sony Xperia M5 Dual has been priced at Rs. 37,990 in India, and will be available from September 9th. The phone comes in two colours Black and Gold.
