After several months of beta testing, SwiftKey 4 has finally been released at the Play Store.
We have been covering the releases of the previous versions closely and as we reported in our last post about it, they have released Swiftkey 4 as a free upgrade for existing users. In case, you are wondering what’s new , SwiftKey flow is a swype style keyboard and has a “Flow Through Space” feature which allows you to Flow sentences without lifting your finger. Just glide it over the space bar and let it do the rest.
An official change-log:
SwiftKey Flow: World’s most accurate gesture input, with next word prediction
Flow Through Space: Gesture multiple words without lifting a finger
Personalization: More thorough learning of your language and typing style
Better predictions: Enhanced language engine, predictions in more text fields
Easier corrections: Tap anywhere on a word to choose an alternative
60 languages: Now including Albanian, Bosnian, Javanese, Sundanese, Thai, Vietnamese
The keyboard now longer has a rapid or precise mode, instead it will predict words and correct errors by learning your typing style over time.
Here is an official video of SwiftKey Flow.
We have some more good news for you, SwiftKey 4 and SwiftKey Tablet 4 are both currently half price and you can get them from the Play Store. (links below)
Buy SwiftKey Keyboard for Phones, from Google Play for $1.99.
or the Tablet version, SwiftKey Tablet Keyboard for $1.99.
Apparently there seems to be some issue with the Tablet Keyboard page, because it shows this for my Nexus 7 “This item is not compatible with your device.”
The good news is, the developers already know of this and are working on a fix.
We're working on a fix to "incompatibility" problems on Google Play for some devices. SwiftKey 4 works will all devices Android 2.2 up.
