Lookout, here comes a cool email client, Outlook.
Yes, the app is an email client, not just Hotmail.
I have been using the web version of Outlook for custom email ids, ever since Google Apps went premium, and I must admit the service and the UI are quite good.
Now I had been using the old Outlook app and this is how it was. Boring!
Until today’s update hit the Play Store and it looks cool on my old phone too.
The latest update brings a good feature as well, Filters for marking emails as unread, flagged or selecting all emails in your Inbox.
You can access all the folders in your account by tapping on the icon in the top left corner.
The menu will also display the unread count besides the folder name.
You can manage the application’s settings by tapping the gear icon from the menuThe best part of this app is that it will work on all Android devices running Froyo and above.
In my opinion, the update has been excellent, of course it looks similar to a Windows Phone UI and that makes it all the more unique. The app doesn’t lag and the notifications are quite good. This is certainly a big step for Microsoft since the disastorus UI and app from last time.
You can download the Outlook app from Google Play for free, use the widget below:

Way cooler than Gmail, but not as powerful, at least not yet.
