If you are a music freak or just a casual music listener with an Android device, there are loads of Free Audio music player apps available which offer some great features for playing Audio, media files on the go on your device. In this post, we will be covering some of the best Android audio player apps for your device. Some of these apps are supported with Ads, but most of them are Add free and offer almost every feature that you may ever need for playing audio files.
1. Instamusic
SUMMARY
In terms of looks, it is similar to the Zune Player or the paid Ubermusic app or just like a app on Windows Phone. If you just need a simple player without any complicated or advanced features to play your songs, then this app is for you. It comes with a Pretty tab menu, Music player basic functions like grouping albums and songs, instant play, shuffle mode and repeat mode. For more details, check out our earlier post here.
2. n7player Music Player
It is a fully multi-touch 3D player with music albums arranged in a plane with intuitive music catalog showing: albums, artists, genres etc just like tag cloud, 5 band graphic equalizer with presets, reverb effects, bass boost and sound virtualization (SRS/Dolby Surround), ability to automatic & manual album art download, ID3 tags editor, filtered file browser, music and lockscreen widget with direct unlock option.
3. Winamp
If you are a music lover and listen a lot of it on your System, you must have used Winamp. For me, Winamp is still the best player when it comes to play Audio music files. It is also available on your Android device as a free app.
It comes with features like Free wireless syncing, One-click iTunes library & playlist import, SHOUTcast radio stations, Persistent player controls, Artist news, bios, photos & discographies, Album art gesturing, Integrated Android Search & “Listen to” voice action, Browse by Artists, Albums, Songs or Genres, Play queue management, Widget player, Lock-screen player and Last.fm scrobbling.
WiFi sync works well with the windows desktop client. Only drawback with the free version is the absence of the 10 band equaliser and it can be a dampener for many of you.
4. MixZing
It is another great music app which comes with almost every feature that you may think of for a music player including a graphic equaliser. Free version though comes without a MP3 Tag Editor and is supported by Advertisements. Ads may be annoying sometimes, but overall it is a great player if you want a free App.
5. TuneWiki – Lyrics with Music
If you give importance to lyrics more than the melody, then this TuneWiki music app is for you. Using this, you can listen to any music with synced lyrics and the ability to Get lyrics instantly translated into 40+ language and share lyrics on social networks like facebook, twitter etc.
It was able to get lyrics of many of bollywood songs and played them with sync. Keep in mind, often you wont find lyrics of every single music file that you have.
It comes with some cloud features like SongBox to help you discover new music and Song Maps with real-time top Charts to discover popular songs nearby and around the world.
Drawback – It is an Ad supported app too.
6. Double twist
It is a Ad Free music player with some limited features for the Free version. It also comes with inbuilt Radio stations and podcast ability. Free version doesnt include the Graphic equaliser, ability to sync with itunes on your PC i.e. AirSync and the ability to download the missing artwork.
7. Cloudskipper
It is a AD FREE easy to use music player with sharing & lockscreen with Equalizer (EQ), Bass Boost, Reverb, Virtualizer, ability to create ringtones in just two clicks and loads of other features found in music players.
8. Songbird
Using Songbird, you can easily browse your music collection and accessible playback controls. It comes with unique ‘now playing’ drawer which offers quick access to album art and additional details, including Facebook and Flickr integration. It has a clean UI but miss some of important features like Equaliser.
9. Google Play Music
It lets you listen to your music collection anywhere by storing your music in the cloud. You can add up to 20,000 songs from your personal music collection on your computer to the cloud for free and access your entire music library instantly with the Google Play Music app anywhere. At the moment, it is available in the U.S. only.
10. Rocket Music Player
This player is for both advanced and simple users letting you browse the music faster without getting bogged down in details and extra buttons and advanced options give you an opportunity to create your own music listening experience. It has a nice and clean GUI with intuitive navigation but it does lack some important features like an equalizer and built in tag editor.
I have tried to cover the best Music Apps (FREE only) above. I have deliberately avoided some of the great music apps which are not available officially in Google Play store (Android Market). Also, the above numbering is not according to any rankings. Also, I am sure that I must have missed few of your personal favorites player. You can tell me what I missed in this post using the comments below.
