TP-Link, a company known for its networking products, like modems, routers, wireless adaptors, has ventured into the land of smartphones.
The Chinese OEM has launched three new phones under the brand name Neffos. They look like the LG G3 don’t they?
Neffos C5
The Neffos C5 is the entry level phone in the series, it features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) IPS Display, and is powered by a 1.1GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 210 processor, with 1GB of RAM and an Adreno 304 GPU. The C5 has 8GB of internal storage and sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with an LED Flash, and a 2 megapixel front camera. The phone measures at 136 × 67.7 × 10.15mm, weighs at 154g, and is backed by a 2000mAh battery.
Neffos C5L
The Neffos C5L has a 5-inch HD 720p IPS display, and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with a Mali-T720 MP2 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. The C5L features an 8 megapixel rear camera with an LED Flash, and a 5 megapixel front camera. The phone measures at 144 × 72 × 8.8mm, weighs at 141g, and is backed by a 2200mAh battery.
Neffos C5 Max
The Neffos C5 Max is the biggest device of the lot, and sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p IPS display, and is powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, with 2GB of RAM, and a Mali-T720 MP3 GPU. The photography options on the C5 Max includes a 13 megapixel rear camera with an ƒ/2.0 aperture and dual LED Flash, and a 5 megapixel front camera. The phone measures at 152 × 76 × 8.95mm, weighs at 147g, and is backed by a 3045mAh battery.
All three devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and support upto 32GB of expandable memory via microSD. The C5L and C5 Max have 16GB of internal storage. The phones will be available in two colour variants: Dark Grey and Pearl White. There is no word on the pricing yet, but the devices should be available at the end of the first quarter.
