Twitter have updated their official Android app, to bring some much needed options for editing photos.
They have also added an option for getting notifications for trending events right in your timeline.
Photo Editing Options:
When you choose to upload a photo using the app, you will be offered various new options such as image cropping, Photo filters, image rotation , etc.
The available photo filters are as follows:
- Vignette
- Warm
- Cool
- 1963
- 1972
- Golden Hour
- Antique
- Black &White
Image Cropping options include Original, Wide, Square modes. You can resize the bars to your liking. The fourth button, which you see on the bottom right hand corner allows you to rotate the image.
Timeline Notifications:
Pull down the screen while viewing your timeline, to get an option for enabling Timeline Notifications. These notifications will be displayed on the top of your usual timeline. The new notifications include Trending Hashtag Events, Recommended Tweets (pictures, videos, conversations,) and other users to follow.
I didn’t find any option to disable the notifications though. Perhaps they will add it in a future update.
If you haven’t installed Twitter for Android already, you can do so from the widget below:
