We got a new entry in Smartphone market. Vio, the laptop brand from Sony which is no longer part of Sony has announced its first smartphone in Japan. The device is named as Vaio Phone even though the Model Number is VA-10J. It is priced at JPY 51,000 (i.e ~ Rs. 26,500) for the unlocked model. If you are in Japan, then you can also buy it via B-mobile for JPY 4,000 (~ Rs. 2,100) under contract.
The VAIO Phone sports a 5-inch 720p IPS HD display powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor supported by 2GB of RAM and runs the latest version of Android i.e Android 5.0 Lollipop. In terms of Camera, it comes with 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front shooter.
It comes with 16 GB of internal storage with micro SD card support.
The Vaio Phone is powered by a decent 2500 mAh battery and comes with 4G LTE support.
It will go on sale in Japan through B-mobile starting March 20, but there is no information on its global availability.
