Popular VOIP service, Viber have just released an important update for the Android version of their app.
Viber now officially supports Android Tablets. The developers had been supporting Android tablets unofficially by providing a direct link to the app on their website and their representative even supported users on XDA.
Thanks to today’s update, We no longer need to sideload the app.
Sadly there isn’t a Google+ login as of yet.
However tablet support is not all that is new, they have also introduced some cool features.
The Sticker Market:
Ever wondered why Viber has very few stickers? Wonder no more, there are tons of new ones to choose from. 1000 new ones, to be precise. Some are premium though.
Instant Voice Messages:
Viber calls them Hold & Talk, just tap the microphone on your conversation, tap the screen and hold your finger on the gigantic button whilst you talk to the recipient. Pretty cool, huh?
You can now call people who aren’t using Viber too thanks to Viber Out.
Time to step aside Skype. We have a winner.
