Vivo NEX with Snapdragon 710, 4GB RAM and Android 8.1 surfaces on Geekbench
Vivo NEX is expected to be officially launched on June 12 marking its entry into flagship segment with hi-end hardware including SOC chips such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. We have already reported about a lower variant of Vivo NEX powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 that may also be launched on the same day and is rumoured to be priced much lower than the Snapdragon 845 variant. Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform is the latest SOC from Qualcomm which brings In-Demand Premium Features to a new tier of Smartphones and still to come in the smartphones.
Today we have additional confirmation in the form of an alleged Geekbench listing of Vivo NEX confirming the 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The listing also indicates that the phone comes with 4GB of RAM and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) based operating system. Unfortunately, the Geekbench listing doesn’t reveal any additional details about hardware specifications of the device though rumours indicate that this may not include the pop-up camera module and features toned down hardware.
Based on the rumours, Vivo NEX Snapdragon 845 variant may be priced at 6998Yuan ($1100) while the Snapdragon 710 variant may be priced at 4998Yuan ($780). The pricing though appears to be high and may not be same when the official launch happens.
