A new flagship smartphone from Vivo has surfaced on the web which indicates that the company is planning to announce a new flagship series as Vivo NEX similar to APEX with a high screen to body ratio and hi-end hardware specifications. An alleged image of Vivo NEX prototype has surfaced on Chinese social network Weibo which reveals the basic hardware specification of the device.
The leaked image indicates that Vivo NEX features a nearly bezel-less screen with a high screen to body ratio without any notch at the top and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with 8GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) based operating system with Funtouch OS 4.0 on top. Other features include an in-screen fingerprint sensor on the front and a pop-up camera module similar to Vivo APEX. The leak suggests a pricing of the order of 4,000 Yuan.
Apart from the alleged real-life image above, an alleged top front panel of the device has also surfaced on Weibo which suggest similar high screen to body ratio for NEX with no notch at the top of the display and no bezels on sides but small bezels at the bottom. The image also confirms the name of the device.
At the moment there is no official word on the possible launch of the flagship device or even the existence of the device. As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
