Last week, we reported that Vivo may be launching a new smartphone Vivo X9 on November 17. Another rumor then suggested that Vivo is planning to introduce dual front cameras with the upcoming Vivo X9. Till date, we expected dual camera setup both at front and back , but it seems that Vivo X9 will be coming only with front dual camera setup, thanks to new render images spotted today. These new images also indicate that Vivo plans to launch a plus variant also i.e. Vivo X9 Plus during the launch event on Nov 17.
The leaked render images show a dual front camera on Vivo X9 and X9 Plus with a single camera setup at the back as main rear camera. Apart from the dual front camera, we can see the usual home button on front which may have integrated fingerprint sensor. At the back, we can see the Vivo logo and the metallic build. The antenna lines are visible a bit at side and perhaps integrated at the top and bottom.
We can see that the device appears to be quite sleek or slim. The USB C type port and 3.5 mm audio jack is visible.
Another image talks about the dual camera setup which indicates that Vivo X9 / X9 Plus front dual camera setup may consist of a 20 MP sensor and a 8 MP sensor. The image doesn’t talk about the main camera sensor. With this dual front camera setup, Vivo is planning to target the selfie lover younger generation of countries such as China and India. Another image also show the possible venue location with the device name X9.
As per leaks and rumors till date, Vivo X9 is powered by recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor, with 4 GB / 6 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The cameras on the Vivo X9 may feature Sony Exmor IMX 260 lens i.e. the same Dual Pixel lens used in the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S7 Active and discontinued Note 7.
As with any leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
