As we reported, Vivo has launched a new flagship Vivo Xplay 6 along with X9 and X9 Plus. The new flagship comes with pretty high end hardware specifications and may give tough competition to some other popular flagships.
Vivo Xplay 6 sports a 5.46 inch (~5.5 inch) Quad HD or 2K dual curved edge display, powered by Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. We are not sure why Vivo choose to announce a new smartphone with Snapdragon 820 and not Snapdragon 821. It runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 operating system. With this phone, Vivo joins the bandwagon of manufacturers launching dual curved display smartphones this year, such as Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
In terms of camera, it comes with a dual camera setup at back panel which comprises of a 12 MP Sony IMX362 sensor along with another 5 MP secondary sensor for depth of field. On the front, it comes with 16 MP sensor with soft light flash. It comes with ES9038 + 3xOPA1622 Hi-Fi audio chip for better sound output quality.
It is backed by a battery of 4080 mAh with fast charging support. Xplay 6 is priced at 4498 Yuan (~Rs. 45,000 or $655) and will go on sale from December 12 via offline & online sales channels in China.
