It appears that Vivo has silently launched a new mid-range phone, called the Vivo Z10 in India. The device is yet another selfie phone, which features a 24MP selfie lens with Moonlight glow, for low light selfies.
The camera supports portrait mode, and also serves for face unlock, which Vivo calls, Face Access. The main camera is a 16MP lens which supports PDAF (Phase detect autofocus) and an LED Flash. The camera can snap pictures which can be saved in 64MP Ultra HD resolution.
For some reason, the device runs on the ancient Android Nougat 7.1 OS. The Vivo Z10 sports a 6-inch Full-View display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, an 84.4% screen-to-body ratio and an HD+ resolution. The bezels are quite minimal at 2.15mm. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device supports dual SIM cards and a microSD card via a dedicated memory slot.
There is a fingerprint scanner on the back panel, which can be used for unlocking the device and for taking selfies. The phone is backed by a 3,225 mAh battery which charges over micro USB.
The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and single speaker grille on the bottom. The company has not declared the rest of the tech specs yet. The phone does seem to have a metal body and carries a designed by VIVO branding and a bigger VIVO logo on the back panel. The Z10 will be available in 3 colours: Black, Gold, and Blue.
The Vivo Z10 is only available in South India. More specifically, you can get it from Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu. It appears the device will only be sold through offline stores. There is no word about the price details at the time of writing this post.
Update: Vivo Z10 is priced at Rs. 14,990.
