HTC Butterfly S is just announced today and is considered as a hardware bump over the HTC flagship and popular HTC one device. Even though the device looks almost similar, there are obviously few noticeable difference between the HTC one and Butterfly S. In this post, we will talk about how Butterfly S differs from the existing flagship device.
Bigger but Heavier, lesser PPI
Butterfly S comes with a bigger display of 5 inch, which is 0.3 inch larger than HTC one. In terms of Pixels per inch i.e.PPI, the new device comes with display of 440 PPI compared to the 468 PPI on HTC one. But if you look at the increase in size of the display, this decrease in PPI may seem irrelevant.
The new device weighs 160 gms which is 20 gms heavier than the previous device (140 gms).
Faster Processor
Both devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, but the new device is powered by 1.9 GHz processor which faster compared to 1.6 GHz of HTC one.
Supports microSD memory card
It may be one of the most sought after features in any smartphone or android device. Butterfly S supports micro SD card up to 64 GB, whereas the HTC one doesnt supports SD card.
Bigger Battery
The new device comes with bigger battery and comes with 3200 mAh embedded rechargeable Li-polymer battery, whereas the previous device only comes with 2300 mAh battery.
Only 16 GB model
At the moment, Butterfly S is only available as 16 GB model and there is no model with bigger capacity of 32 GB or 64 GB.
