WhatsApp has updated its Android app to include three new features.
The first of the new additions is support for Starred Messages.
This option lets you bookmark a message, by long pressing on it. These messages can then be viewed from Chats > Menu > Starred Messages.
WhatsApp for Android now supports Link Previews, which as the name suggests generates a thumbnail of the wbpage, as well as it’s title, to give the recipient a better idea about what’s being shared with them. You can disable a link preview by tapping on the X button, and send a plain old URL.
WhatsApp has also added support for Direct Share for Android 6.0 Marshmallow devices, which lets you share any link or content directly to a conversation in the app. for e.g: if you wish to share an app from the Play Store, simply press the share button and it will show you a “share via WhatsApp” and display the recent conversations, thus saving you a few seconds as well as a few taps.
Download WhatsApp for Android from the Google Play Store [appbox googleplay id=com.whatsapp]
The version you need to use theses features is 2.12.367 or above.
Thank you Krish.
