Xiaomi has announced its 2022 flagship phone in India, alongside the Xiaomi Pad 5. Meet the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and runs on Android 12 based on MIUI 13.
The 5G smartphone is equipped with a 6.28-inches 2K AMOLED display that supports 120Hz Refresh Rate, Dolby Vision, has a pixel density of 419 PPI, supports DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR10+, 12bit. The screen is home to an in-display fingerprint scanner, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The front camera is a 32MP lens with an 80.5° FOV.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G is backed by a 4600mAh battery that supports 120W Wired Fast Charging via a USB Type-C port, and 50W Wireless Fast Charging. The mobile has Dual SIM card tray with support for 5G and 4G LTE networks, Wi-Fi 6 802.11a/b/g, 2.4GHz/5GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and Beidou/GPS/Galileo/Glonass/QZSS/NavIC/A-GPS connectivity. Xiaomi‘s flagship mobile weights 205g and measures 163.6 x 4.6 x 8.16mm.

Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G expected price in India
The Chinese OEM has priced the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G at Rs. 62,999 for the 8GB/256GB model, while the 12GB/256GB trim carries a price tag of Rs. ₹66,999. Xiaomi is offering a discount of Rs. 4,000, which can be clubbed together with a launch offer from ICICI Bank for an additional Rs. 6,000 off of the device’s price.
The offer, which is valid for purchases made with an ICICI Bank Credit Card or EMI, will bring down the price of the mobile by Rs. 10,000, so the effective price of the 8GB/256GB version is Rs. 52,999, while the 12GB/256GB will cost Rs. 56,999. The phone will be available in 3 colourways: Couture Blue, Opera Mauve, and Noir Black. It will go on sale on 2nd May at Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home and retail stores.
