Xiaomi has carved itself a niche in India with the Mi 3, Redmi 1S and the Redmi Note. And if the Mi4 is indeed priced for such a low price, it could capture the market away from the likes of the high enders. And you never know, Xiaomi could surprise us further, and sell the device at an even lower price, like they did with the Redmi Note.
