Two of the highest ranking officials from Xiaomi: Li Nan, the company’s President, and Lei Jun, the company’s Chairman, have announced some interesting new details about the Xiaomi Mi 4c.
According to the two co-founders, the Xiaomi Mi 4c will come in a new designed packaging. The images featured in this article shows you the new orange and white box, in which the phone will be shipped.
Lei Jun has confirmed the rumours which revealed that the Mi 4c will be powered by a 6-core (hexa-core) Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. The phone will reportedly support 20% download faster download speeds, and features improved connectivity. Speaking of which, the Xiaomi Mi 4c will support DSDA (dual SIM – dual standby) with 4G LTE on both SIM card slots. The phone will support Double Tap to Wake, and also Double Tap to Sleep.
Previous leaks which we have come across say that that the Mi 4c will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7, an Adreno 418 GPU and sport a 5-inch Full HD Display, a 13 megapixel rear camera, a 5 megapixel front camera, and will be backed by a 3,080 mAh battery.
The Mi 4c will come in three variants: 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage/ 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The phone is also rumoured to come with an infrared port, which is supposedly a security related feature.
The Xiaomi Mi 4c will be launched on September 22nd in China. IT is likely that Mi 4c is a placeholder flagship for the company, as it awaits for readying the Xiaomi Mi 5, which weill be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
