Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it will be launching its new flagship device, the Mi 4c, next week in China.
The news comes after a plethora of rumours, which have leaked the phone’s technical specifications.
The Mi 4c will sport a 5-inch Full HD Display, and will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based on MIUI 7. The phone will be powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, with 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU.
The phone comes with just 16GB of onboard storage, and no option for expandable memory. The Mi 4c features a 13 megapixel rear camera, and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. A 3,080 mAh battery backs the Mi 4c, which is a 4G LTE enabled phone.
The Xiaomi Mi 4c will be the first Xiaomi phone to come with a USB Type-C port. A leaked photo of the phone’s retail box suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 4c will be priced at just 1,299 Yuan, which is Rs. 13,500 approximately.
The official statement is that the Xiaomi Mi 4c will be launched on September 22nd in China and will also be available in 4 other countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines. It is unclear if the phone will be launched in India.
