Just few days back we reported alleged real images of upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6. Thanks to a new leak, it seems that those leaked images are not of the MI 6 but Xiaomi Mi 5C. A new set of total five images have leaked including the real images of the smartphone and one with “About Phone” screen powered on.
These images may not be of the final product, but perhaps the earlier prototypes of the device. Xiaomi launched their flagship Mi 5S and Mi 5S plus just few weeks back and Xiaomi is yet to announce any new launches, though we do expect Mi Note 2 launch in the pipeline.
The leaked images show the device in powered on condition with front display showing the home screen & the wide Home button which most probably also integrates a fingerprint sensor. The back display shows the main rear camera with flash at the top with dual tone back panel. These images match exactly with those of alleged Mi 6 images and now we assume that they are Mi 5C instead Mi 6.
The about phone screen indicates that the phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8 operating system and is powered by octa-core processor which indicates a Mediatek processor instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. One interesting fact that the about screen reveals is that the Phone comes with security updates dated 1st Dec 2015 which is too old and hence odd. Either the device images are taken from an early prototype or the image isn’t genuine, which unfortunately we can are not sure.
Also we may see a higher variant of Mi 5C with 4GB of RAm and 3 GB rAM variant may be the lower one. The device may be priced to make it affordable in the range of 1200-1500 yuan.
Xiaomi Mi 4C was launched in September 2015 and sports a 5 inch full HD display powered by Snapdragon 808 with 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 13 MP main rear camera and a 5 MP front shooter for selfies. It is backed by 3080 mAh Li-ion battery.
As with any leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
