Xiaomi launched their flagship device Mi 5 just few months back in April 2016 and appears to be getting ready to launch the Mi 5S soon. Xiaomi Mi 5S will be the successor of Mi 5 and the Mi 4S (launched in Feb 2016). A new rumor is spotted on chinese social network Weibo which suggests that Xiaomi Mi 5S is already in works and may come with some great specifications.
As per the rumor, Xiaomi Mi 5S sports a 2K display along with force touch support (i.e. 3D touch) and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest processor i.e. Snapdragon 821. Mi 5S is expected to be launched in two variants i.e. first being the standard edition and other being the high end or premium edition. The Standard edition of Mi 5S comes with 3 GB of RAm and 64 GB of internal storage whereas the premium edition comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
The leak also indicates that Xiaomi is working on waterproof feature for Mi 5S, but it is not yet functional. This means that we may not see the waterproofing support on Xiaomi Mi 5S, but we do hope that the company is able to make that functional before the official launch.
The leak also indicate that pricing of Mi 5S may be expensive and may be different than earlier smartphones launched by Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Mi 4S sports a 5 inch full HD displaypowered by hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It packs a 13 MP primary camera on the rear and a 5 MP front shooter for selfies. It is backed by 3260 mAh non removable battery.
