Xiaomi has finally launched its biggest smartphone or phablet Xiaomi Mi Max at an event in China. Three variants of Xiaomi Mi Max were announced by the company with variation in internal storage ( 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB), RAM (3 GB, 4 GB) and even the Processor (Snapdragon 650, Snapdragon 652). The price for Xiaomi Mi Max start at 1,499 Yuan for the lower variant and 1,999 Yuan for the higher variant.
Xiaomi Mi Max sports ultra thin metal body with 6.44 inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (Hexa core) / 652 (Octa core) CPU along with 3 GB / 4 GB of RAM. 3 GB RAM comes with 32 GB of internal storage variant while the 4 GB RAM comes with 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage variant.
Mi Max comes with support for expandable storage via microsd cards. It runs on the latest version of MIUI i.e. MIUI 8 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
In terms of camera, it sports a 16 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and a 5 MP front-shooter with 85-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture. It comes with Hybrid SIM slot (micro+nano/microSD) which means you can use it either for two sims or one sim with microsd card. It comes with dual standby support for the dual sim.
Mi Max also comes with a fingerprint sensor located at the back and infrared sensor. It is backed by a 4850mAh (typical) battery which is biggest battery from Xiaomi till date.
Xiaomi Mi Max comes in Silver, Gold & Dark Grey colors and is priced as follows for the three variants in China:
- 3 GB + 32 GB with Snapdragon 650 : RMB 1,499
- 3 GB + 64 GB with Snapdragon 652 : RMB 1,699
- 4 GB + 128 GB with Snapdragon 652 : RMB 1,499
In China, it will be available for order starting today with sale starting from May 17th.
