In October last year, Xiaomi launched Mi Mix in China, a smartphone with an edgeless display having massive 91.3% screen to body ratio. Mi Mix sports a6.4” edgeless display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35 GHz with two variants of RAM. First one with 4GB of RAM & 128GB of internal storage and the second one with 6GB RAM & 256GB internal storage.
Rumours around the second generation of Mi Mix i.e. Mi Mix 2 have slowly started to surface as the time passes by and in few months, it will be one whole year since the Mi Mix launch. An alleged Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is spotted on benchmarking portal Geekbench, which suggests that the second generation of Xiaomi edgeless smartphone is on the way.
The Geekbench listing though comes with same model name i.e. “Xiaomi Mi Mix” and not the Mi Mix 2, yet it seems that this listing belongs to Mi Mix 2 and not the first generation of the device. As per the Geekbench listing, Mi Mix 2 is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM 8998 processor along with 6 GB of RAM and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) based operating system.
The phone scores 1929 under single core and 6431 under Multi-core tests.
At the moment, we do not have more details or credible rumours about the Mi Mix 2. As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
