The rumor mills around Xiaomi Mi Note 2 keep churning and are not in a mood to stop. Thanks to numerous leaks, we already know some of the major hardware specifications of Mi Note 2 and even the probable launch date. As per leaks, two variants of Mi Note 2 with curved dual edge display, are in works with the lower variant powered by Snapdragon 820 along with 4 GB of RAM & 32 GB of internal storage and higher variant powered by Snapdragon 821 along with 6 GB of RAM & 128 GB of internal storage. In terms of cameras, it is expected to come with a dual camera setup at the back, but till today we were not aware of the camera sensor capacities.
A new rumor spotted on Weibo indicate the possible camera sensor capacities which form the dual camera setup at the back of Mi Note 2. The rumor suggests that Mi Note 2 dual camera setup comes with two camera sensors of 16 MP and 13 MP capacities. If we consider this leak to be true, it will be a major upgrade of camera over Xiaomi existing dual camera device i.e. Xiaomi Redmi Pro (which is basically not a flagship kind of device though), which comes with a dual 13 MP + 5 MP cameras with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash.
The leak also points out only three variants of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 i.e.
- SD 821 + 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage
- SD 821 + 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage
- SD 821 + 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage
Earlier leaks have pointed to existence of even a Snapdragon 820 variant with 4 GB of RAM, but this leak avoids talking about that variant and only lists these three variants powered by Snapdragon 821 to be in final phases.
Another leaked image suggests that Mi Note 2 runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 7.0 Nogat operating system with ~109 GB storage available for end user in the 128 GB variant.
We need to wait for the official launch of the Mi Note 2 which may happen on September 14 or 24. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
