Xiaomi put an end to speculation of launch date of its next flagship device i.e. Mi Note 2 after the company announced that it will be launched on 25th October at an event in Beijing China. Yet, the announcement is unable to put an end to rumor mills about the device and it appears that they are churning faster. Just few hours after the launch date announcement, we have spotted a new teaser on Weibo, depicting the curved display of Mi Note 2.
This teaser image depicts the curved dual edge front display of the device and is rumored to be manufactured by LG instead of Samsung. If you remember, LG demonstrated prototype of a dual-edge P-OLED Display Smartphone at CES 2015, but we are yet to see that display in smartphone market. Mi Note 2 curved display perhaps comes as the final product originating from that prototype of LG. We will know soon.
The above teaser image accompanies one image of back panel showing the dual rear camera at the top along with an LED flash and Mi logo at the bottom. We have seen different leaks about the dual camera arrangement of Mi Note 2 and we are not sure on which of these arrangements is fake or genuine. So we will keep our fingers crossed.
Apart from these two images, we already reported about one more teaser which depicts the front display and carries the launch date of 25th october. Have a look.
This last teaser depicts perhaps the true bezeless or borderless display Mi Note 2 with no space left either at top or bottom of the device, indicated by some of the leaks.
The images leaked today come with a description which indicate that Mi Note 2 sports a 5.7 inch 2K curved display by LG, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 with pressure touch or 3D touch support along with two RAM variants i.e. 4 GB & 6 GB. It comes with ultrasonic fingerprint sensor along with dual camera and a ceramic body.
How much of these leaks / rumors are true, we will know soon on October 25. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
