Indian fans were left heartbroken, when the Xiaomi Mi 3 was discontinued in the Country last month.
The Company sold around 100,000 phones during July-August, in a series of flash sales, before a stunning decision to abruptly stop the sales.
Whether this was a move to influence the sales of the cheaper Redmi 1S, is unknown. But fans of the Mi 3 may have reason to celebrate. In a surprising move, Manu Kumar Jain, the Head of Mi India announced that it will be back in India soon. Speaking at an event in Bangalore, Jain said that the Mi 3 will be available sometime around Diwali, (which falls on October 23rd this year).
Mi will be holding it’s traditional flash sales, and we will update you when they open up the registrations for the phone’s sale.
On a side note, Mi India is offering a free Micro-SIM card tray, to every user who bought an a Mi 3 from Flipkart. You can check their official website for more details on this.
