Yesterday, Microsoft had announced that it will be partnering with Xiaomi, to provide free downloads of a Windows 10 ROM for Mi 4 users.
According to the announcement, we expected that Microsoft would seed out the OS to a select group of Mi4 users, in the coming weeks or months.
But it appears that the phone has already been spotted running on Windows 10. These images were tweeted out by an Mi 4 user, which makes it official folks. The Xiaomi Mi 4 has made history, becoming the first Android device to run Windows.
As you can see from the above screenshots, the phone has native Microsoft apps and services in the Windows ROM. I will be interesting to see if Xiaomi decides to sell the Mi 4 with Windows 10 running on it, out of the box. and we certainly hope Microsoft support releases the ROMs for more Android devices.
