Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore, the Chief of Windows operating system, has announced that Xiaomi phones will be getting Windows 10 soon.
Windows 10 for PC, was launched on July 29th, and has already been received well around the world.
The catch is that Microsoft will be launching the Windows Insider Program for Windows 10 Mobile in China, for Xiaomi phones, in the coming weeks. The Redmond company has been testing it and it apparently runs well on the phones.
We intend to start our insider program in China with Xiaomi phones in the next few weeks… The software is running very nicely on these!

And that’s not all, Belfiore revealed that he has been using a Xiaomi Mi 4 for a few weeks, running on Windows 10 Mobile Build 10240, which is the latest version of the OS.
#10! The beautiful Xiaomi Mi4! I’ve been carrying this as my daily driver for about a week, on 10240. It’s LOVELY! pic.twitter.com/54ATz5tzrF

It is unclear if Microsoft will release Windows 10 for all Android devices, but if chooses to, it will certainly manage to get a lot of users. On a side note, this may be another reason to get the Xiaomi Mi 4 64GB, which is available for Rs. 17,999.
