Xiaomi is set to launch a new phone in China, next week. And these Xiaomi Play teasers have appeared ahead of the device’s debut.
The press renders shared through the company’s Weibo account, reveal that the phone has a waterdrop notch display design, and a rather large chin. The Xiaomi Play teasers also show off the back panel of the phone. The device is equipped with a rear-placed fingerprint scanner., which is flanked by 2 cameras along with an LED Flash.
According to a TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Play will be available in Black, Blue, Gold, Grey, Green, Pink, Red, Silver, Rose Gold, and White. That’s a total of 10 colours, which should appeal to the youth generation.
The screen seen in the Xiaomi Play teasers is a 5.84-inches FullHD+ display. The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core processor, with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi Play has 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage and supports up to 256GB expandable memory via a microSD card slot. The device sports an 8MP selfie lens, and dual rear cameras which consist of a 12MP primary lens and an 8MP secondary lens. The phone is backed by a 2900 mAh battery. We can see a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the device.
