Google has officially introduced YouTube Music in India. The service debuts along with YouTube Premium.
The announcement comes about a month after Spotify landed on our shores. And just like it, YouTube Music will be available in two flavours: a free ad-supported plan, and a premium plan.
In addition to being ad-free, YouTube Music Premium also allows you to download songs offline, and supports background playback. You can also select the bitrate of the audio quality from 48kbps AAC, 128kbps AAC and 256kbps AAC. Sadly, there is no support for 320kbps, which remains a Google Play Music feature.
