Micromax owned subsidiary, YU, has announced that it will be selling its smart band, YUFIT at the end of this month, in India.
The YU YUFIT has an OLED touch screen display for displaying the time, activity record and task reminders, and allows for easy switching of modes.
The display will show notifications for messages, and incoming calls. The device is also waterproof.
The YUFIT smartband will support two companion apps called YUFIT and HealthifyMe, which will be available at the Google Play Store. HealthifyMe will allow users to track their Diet, Weight and Exercises. And the YUFIT app helps to set ‘Daily goals’ and has a unified interface which lets you monitor steps walked, calories burnt and daily goals reached.
The app also lets you set alarms, and also has a Do Not Disturb mode with customizable time slots, which will snooze notifications, when you sleep.
Registrations for the first flash sale of the YU FIT begins, at 12 noon on 21st July at Amazon India, and the sale will take place on 29th July at noon. Additionally, the first 1000 customers who buy the wearable will get free access to Fitness Trainers.
